BURNWOOD - In an exhilarating night of football, Burnwood's Monday 6-a-side league saw some spectacular performances in its twelfth week. With just two weeks left in the season, teams are battling to secure their place for the next season.
In the Premier League division, Karius To Glory and Burntwood FC battled it out in our Match of the Day. The fixture took place at the top of the Christmas tree and featured an upset! A thrilling 3-3 draw, showcasing their evenly matched skills and determination. Is the door open for someone else to capitalise? Norton FC and Lattos Toy Boys, on the other hand, provided a defensive masterclass with a rare goalless draw.
Division 1 saw a dominant performance by Harriers, who convincingly defeated Paquetà Crisps FC with an impressive 5-0 victory. This commanding win positions Harriers in strong stead for the remaining two weeks of the season.
In Division 2, a closely fought match between McGinn N Tonic and Expected Toulouse ended in a 2-2 draw. Patty Freaks FC and Pink Panthers each secured victories against All Grass No Class and Davos Diddy Party respectively, adding major drama to the division standings.
The final division, Division 3, witnessed a goal fest as Kepa Clean Sheet outscored Basic FC 5-3, while P M T FC trounced PSV Hangover with a whopping 5-0 scoreline.

Remember we are off next Monday on the 29th for one week only! Returning the 1st week of January.
While we count down the final two weeks, the skill, spirit, and sportsmanship displayed by all teams have made this season one to remember. We look forward to the thrilling conclusion of this season and the beginning of the next, where these teams will once again take to the field to showcase their prowess.
