In the wake of an adrenaline-pumped night of football, the Burntwood Monday 6-a-side league continued its season journey with the second week of play yielding some exhilarating results across all divisions.

The Premier League division was set ablaze by the likes of Burntwood FC who delivered a decisive 3-0 victory over Norton FC. Revenge after their honeymoon was spoilt last week! Harriers also put on a show, besting Scrambled Legs 4-2, while Sheffield Monday, arguably the highlight of the night, crushed Watto Club with a resounding 5-0 scoreline.

Over in Division 1, the competition was equally as fierce, with Patty Freaks FC edging out McGinn N Tonic 2-0. The night also saw a thrilling draw between Leomansley FC and Pink Panthers, with both teams settling for a 2-2 score. Wrapping up the action in Division 1. Lastly was our Match of the day encounter which saw Toe Poke Mafia secure a narrow win following an 5 goal thriller against Whopper Walsh with a 3-2 final score.

Division 2 saw a goal-fest with All Grass No Class dominating No Name FC 7-0. P M T FC made a statement with a staggering 9-0 triumph over Murder On Zidane’s Floor. Kepa Clean Sheet showed prowess with a 6-1 score over Paquetà Crisps FC, whereas Expected Toulouse sealed a clean 3-0 win against 4sails FC.

As we move forward, we expect to see more nail-biting action, phenomenal performances, and extraordinary football as Burntwood Monday continues to set the stage for local sports.
