Play in the Burntwood Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

In an enthralling fourth week of action in the Burntwood Monday 6-a-side Football League, several teams made their mark across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.

The Premier League saw an intense clash with Lattos Toy Boys, so good in fact that it was our Match of the Day! Unfortunately for Lattos they narrowly lost to Savins Under 6s 3-2 in a hard-fought battle. A great watch nonetheless! 

Burntwood FC and Sheffield Monday delivered a thrilling draw, both teams finishing with a meaty 2-2 score. Paul's Rent Boys triumphed over Karius To Glory with a 2-0 victory. However, the highlight of the Premier League games was undoubtedly the 7-2 demolition by Toe Poke Mafia over Harriers.

In Division 1, Whopper Walsh and All Grass No Class couldn’t be separated, ending with an emphatic 3-3 tie. McGinn N Tonic outpowered Monday Warriors with a 3-0 win. The stand-out game was the 10-2 rout by Scrambled Legs against Groomers United. P M T FC also bagged a win with a 2-0 victory over Patty Freaks FC.

Division 2 saw equally competitive matches; Watto Club narrowly defeated Davos Diddy Party 2-1, and Take It Eze FC and 4sails FC drew 3-3. On the other hand, Kepa Clean Sheet dominated Leomansley FC with a resounding 8-1 victory. Niche Fc and PSV Hangover tied 2-2. The week closed with a solid 6-1 win by Murder On Zidane’s Floor over Gangstas Allardyce.

The league will continue next week, as the World Cup wraps up on the tele. So far it seems all teams looking to improve their standings and individual players aiming to top the scoring charts.
