Play in the Burntwood Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

In a thrilling week 5 of the Burntwood Monday football league, we saw spectacular performances and surprising upsets that have reshaped the landscape of the competition. Across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2, teams delivered high-octane football that treated spectators to a feast of goal-scoring action.

In the Premier League division, Burntwood FC edged out Harriers in a fiercely contested 3-2 victory, while 2 Goals 1 Cup cruised past Savins Under 6s with a dominant 5-1 win. Sheffield Monday and Lattos Toy Boys played a high-stakes game that ended in an exciting 2-2 draw. However, the game that stole the spotlight was Toe Poke Mafia trouncing Paul's Rent Boys with a resounding 8-2 scoreline.

Over in Division 1, Scrambled Legs ran riot over McGinn N Tonic, winning 6-1, while Norton FC delivered the biggest surprise of the evening, thrashing Groomers United 9-0, and PMT FC edged out All Grass No Class 1-0 in a nail-biting encounter. Pink Panthers fell to Patty Freaks FC 4-2 in a hotly contested match.

Meanwhile, in Division 2, we had some right old goal-fests! Let’s start with our favourite… Niche FC lost a heartbreaker to Watto Club 5-4, and PSV Hangover succumbed to Murder On Zidane’s Floor 5-3. Davos Diddy Party and Leomansley FC ended their encounter in a 2-2 draw, while 4sails FC outplayed Gangstas Allardyce 4-1.

As we look at the statement wins and the upsets of this week, wonder May set in. With several weeks of football still left to play, it will be interesting to see how the teams respond in the coming week.
