Burntwood Monday 6 a side news 2026-11-02

The Burntwood Monday 6-a-side Football League roared back into action last night, as all four divisions – Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 – saw dramatic clashes and high-scoring encounters to launch the new season.

In the Premier League, defences proved decisive, with Karius To Glory edging Lattos Toy Boys 1-0 in a tense contest. Burntwood FC made a statement of intent, dispatching Whopper Walsh 4-1 as they staked an early claim on the title race. Sheffield Monday also started strong, squeezing past Harriers 2-1, while Paul’s Rent Boys held off Savins Under 6s in a 3-2 thriller. Burntwood FC’s forward, who netted a hat-trick, takes the early top-scorer spot in the division.

Division 1 provided plenty of attacking fireworks. Niche FC were the division’s standout team, overpowering All Grass No Class 4-0, with their striker firing in a brace to top the scoring charts. Scrambled Legs also impressed, sealing a 4-1 win over Inter Row Z. Patty Freaks FC picked up a 2-0 victory over Not Fast Just Furious, while SHITE OAK FC edged Adam Only Scores Bangers 2-1 in a close tie.

Division 2’s biggest winners were Monday Warriors, who stunned 4sails FC with a comprehensive 6-0 win, thanks to their frontman’s four-goal haul, making him this week’s top scorer across all divisions. Pink Panthers snatched a narrow 1-0 win over McGinn N Tonic, and Alison Burgerz produced a solid 4-1 triumph against Reform UK FC.

In Division 3, Leomansley FC overcame Groomers United 2-1, while PSV Hangover shut out Inter Ya Mom 2-0.

With the season just underway, all teams will look to build on their opening results and stake their claim for silverware as the action heats up in the coming weeks.
