Monday 7th March - Burntwood Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Burntwood Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some entertaining matches played across both divisions.

The battle of the top two was won by Pete Scores Bangers this week as they went 3 points clear of second placed Burntwood FC whom they beat by a 3-2 score line.  Bumfica FC are now level on points with second place as they took advantage of Burntwood's defeat, comfortably beating CTL Elite by a 5-1 score line, whilst The Gradient moved up to fourth position with a comprehensive 5-2 win over Largentina.  Elsewhere, Janine The Dream and Burntwood Dads moved away from the relegation zone this week, as Janine were 1-0 winners over Chasetown Seniors, and Burntwood Dads secured a 3-0 win over Tea & Busquets.

Top of Division One MV Kelly stay at the summit this week as they ended Second 2 None's 5 match unbeaten streak by a 3-1 score line.  Another Team stay a point off the pace as they were comprehensive 8-2 winners against Inter Your Nan, whilst Borussia Teeth secured a comfortable 4-0 victory over Obi Wan Bissaka.  Ajax Treesdown climbed to fourth position with a well earned 4-1 victory against The Dukes, and Norfolkinchance moved up to seventh place as they edged past Bantalona 2-1.
