Burntwood, [30th July 2023] - The excitement continues to build in the Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side Football league as teams battled it out in week 14 of the season. The league witnessed some exhilarating matches across the divisions, with top performances and intense competition on display. Into the closing stages we go...

In the Premier League division, Branaldo FC faced off against Mexican Smugglers. Despite putting up a valiant effort, Branaldo FC couldn't find their rhythm and succumbed to a 3-0 defeat against the determined Mexican Smugglers. The premier league title race is still firmly on!!

Meanwhile, in Division 1, D.T.F.C displayed their dominance by securing a convincing 2-0 victory over Peek Eboue. The match saw some exceptional teamwork and skilled performances, with D.T.F.C showcasing their prowess on the field. 

Another standout match in Division 1 was between FC R United and Ladzio Fc, which ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw. Both teams showcased their attacking edge yet let defence slip - resulting in a close encounter that left fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.

In other Division 1 matches, Maximum Effort FC faced a tough challenge against Only Here For The Beer, who emerged victorious with an impressive 4-0 win. Warriors fought gallantly against AllStars but fell short, losing 3-1. Greggs On Legs secured a tight 2-1 victory over Cardiac Saggy Breast, displaying their resilience on the field to hang on. 

The Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side Football league has been witnessing some incredible performances and fierce competition throughout the season. As the league progresses, teams continue to strive for victory and showcase their talent on the pitch. For next Sunday we also have a new entrant joining the ranks - stay alert for that!!
