Play in the Burntwood Sunday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

The Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side Football league saw another thrilling action last night in week 5 of the season. A total of eight matches were played across two divisions, Premier League and Division 1, each showcasing a unique blend of skill, tenacity, and the sheer love of the sport.

In the Premier League division, Norton FC triumphed with a resounding 5-0 victory over Too Old To Care Utd. This commanding performance highlighted their skill and determination as they left no room for Too Old To Care Utd to make a comeback. Even still we would like to welcome them as our newest additions to the league! We are sure it is onwards and upwards from here. 

The evening's other high-scoring game, MK Dongs versus Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref, saw the former sweep the field with an outstanding 7-0 victory. Another harsh reality check for such a newly formed team! However, the highest scoring beating in this division was between Maximum Effort FC and AllStar Ringers, with the latter securing an astonishing 11-0 scoreline, a real white-wash and setting a new benchmark in the league.

Meanwhile, in Division 1, Peek Eboue and Cardiac Saggy Breast delivered an intense match, ending in a 2-2 draw. Ladzio FC and Warriors also had a tough match that ended in a goalless draw. In an afternoon choc-full of goals, these guys didn't get the memo! 

Greggs On Legs outplayed Thats A Paddlin Fc with a whopping 9-1 scoreline. The final match of the day saw The Ringers edge past D.T.F.C with a close 3-2 victory.

The testosterone was booming over the Lichfield sky today!!

As we move into week 6, the competition is expected to intensify as teams battle it out for the top spots in their respective divisions. Stay tuned for more action-packed football in the coming weeks...
