The Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side football league saw an action-packed Week 7 with some thrilling games in both our divisions.
In the Premier League, the 6 Elites emerged victorious with a 2-0 win over Too Old To Care Utd, demonstrating their prowess and competitive edge. The match was filled with impressive plays, showcasing the high skill level of the players. However, the highlight of the week was the electrifying game between MK Dongs and Schuster Bummers that ended with an overwhelming 13-3 result in favor of MK Dongs. Outstanding!
Meanwhile, Fat FC and Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref played out a goalless draw, both teams showcasing their defensive strengths. Anything but a wooden spoon game in this case.
Over in Division 1, Only Here For The Beer managed a narrow 3-2 win over Cardiac Saggy Breast. Another evenly matched contest saw Ladzio FC and Peek Eboue sharing the spoils with a 1-1 draw.
However, there was a couple of white washes here too... The Ringers dominated their game against Warriors, with a 7-0 win, demonstrating their supremacy. D.T.F.C also put up a high-scoring performance, with a 10-2 win over That's A Paddlin FC.
Fans can look forward to more thrilling football action in the coming weeks as the teams continue to vie for the top spot in their respective divisions. This week's games have set high expectations for the rest of the season nonetheless!
