In a scintillating final week of the Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side Football league, teams across the Premier League and Division 1 divisions clashed for their last shot at victory.
Headline news; In the Premier League, the AllStar Ringers emerged as the triumphant victors. They secured the top spot with a total of 31 points, thanks to 15 spectacular wins. Their prowess was on full display in the final week, when they decimated Burntwood Isotopes FC with a scoreline of 15-1. Despite efforts from other teams including MK Dongs and 6 Elites who were the chasing pack, the AllStar Ringers were simply unbeatable. Towering above with their superb goal difference.
Over in Division 1, The Ringers climbed to the top of the leaderboard. They clinched the division title with a total of 36 points and an imposing 18 wins - A CLEAN SWEEP! Their narrow final week victory against Peek Eboue with a 4-2 finish provided the perfect ending to a successful season. Other noteworthy matches included Only Here For The Beer's 4-1 victory over Greggs On Legs and Warriors edging out Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref 2-1.
Despite some intense and fiercely competitive matches, the night belonged to the AllStar Ringers and The Ringers. Their formidable performances consistently throughout the season proved their mettle as the best teams in their respective divisions. Their top scorers, who remained relentless and unstoppable throughout the season, played a crucial role in leading their teams to victory. A huge congratulations to the Andy Leek Ltd Franchise who will be taking home 2 further trophies to add to the museum!!
As we wrap up an incredible season, the Burntwood Sunday league has once again proven to be a thrilling showcase of local football talent.
