In the thrilling final week of Burntwood Sunday's 6-a-side football league, the champions of the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 have emerged victorious, marking the end of an exhilarating season.
In the Premier League, D.T.F.C reigned supreme, showing their dominance with a total of 19 points acquired through nine sterling victories. The grand finale saw D.T.F.C propel themselves into the history books, closing the season on a high note. The fixture between Bottom Bunch FC and Obese City saw the former clinching a defining 4-1 victory, however, it was D.T.F.C that ultimately stole the show this season. Fair play to everyone who tried, there are certainly some new faces to watch next season!
Division 1 saw Allstars bagging the championship with a total of 17 points and eight wins under their belt. Allstars managed to edge out KK FC in a nail-biting 2-1 match, emphasising their league dominance. The final cherry on top and our selected Match of the Day encounter! However, it was Smokin Aces that turned heads with their epic 9-1 triumph over Sosobad FC, registering one of the highest scoring games in the division.
In Division 2, Legends FC stole the limelight with a commanding total of 20 points and 10 wins. Their final match against Yam Yam Army ended in a decisive 5-0 victory, solidifying their status as division champions. Another notable match was between Hakuna Juan Mata and Team Baldies, with the latter taking home a narrow 2-1 win.
It is safe to say that the level of competition and skill displayed throughout the season has been nothing short of exceptional. As the curtain falls on this season of Burntwood Sunday's 6-a-side league, the anticipation for the next season is already building among fans and players alike.
