Sunday 16th January - Burntwood Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Burntwood Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, and some entertaining matches played across both divisions.

Ringers and 6 Elites remain level on points at the top of the Premier Division after this weeks matches where they both picked up 5-0 wins.  It will be a big one this week as the two meet in order to try and gain an outright advantage at the top of the table.  Fat FC sit just off the pace in third, as they were 2-0 victors in their match against MK Dongs, whilst fourth placed Pique Blinders suffered a 3-1 reverse at the hands of Murder on Zidane's Floor, who moved to within a point of this weeks opponents.  Elsewhere Obese City pulled themselves back into contention of staying up, as they edged past But FC by a single goal.

In Division One, 6 Class Players kept up their perfect start to the season with a 6-0 hammering of Fortress, whilst Peek Eboue slipped a further point off the pace after drawing 3-3 with DTFC who remain in third.  Warriors moved level on points with the latter as they picked up a hard fought 2-1 win against Junction Massive.  Roy's Allstars moved above Delph and Safety in the table after they beat them by 2 goals to 1 in another closely contested game, whilst Hazlewood House remain bottom of the table but pulled themselves level on points with the two teams above them, after securing a 3-2 victory over Ladzio.
