Sunday 9th January - Burntwood Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Burntwood Sunday 6 a side league this week as the league returned for 2022.  We were however slightly disappointed to see non-attendances from two teams.  Roy's Allstars and Pique Blinders will both be spoken to accordingly to confirm their return on Sunday 16th January.

We remind all teams that in the event you are unable to attend a fixture, even if this is on the day of the game, it is only courteous to inform us at Head Office so that we are able to ensure your opponents get a game in your absence.  Our offices are open 12-6pm every Sunday so there really is no excuse not to call us.

On the field there were some closely contested matches played out throughout the night, second placed 6 Elites ran out 1-0 winners in their match against MK Dongs, as did BUT FC in their game against Murder on Zidane's Floor.  Obese City were more convincing winners as they beat Inter Your Nan by a 4-1 score line.

Division One saw new team Junction Massive play their first fixture with us, they were impressive 2-0 winners in their game against Ladzio FC in an encouraging start to life in the league.  Peek Eboue were in good form to kick off the new year, they remain in second place following a 5-0 win over Hazelwood House, whilst DTFC moved into third place following a 3-0 win over Warriors.  Delph and Safety completed the action in Division One as they were convincing 4-0 winners over Fortress.
