Season starts with a BANG!

A new season is upon us at Loughborugh Leisure Leagues. With champions crowned and new teams in, it's time to role on with the new term. Which team will Santa crown in the new year?

Let's start of with Last season's ultimate champions, Mpabbe Lock In. They have gone from strength to strength since they joined us last summer. Last term confirmed their rise. It least for now they remain the best 6 a side team in Loughborough. Is there a better team out there in Loughborough.

On match day 1 they played out a brilliant 3-3 draw against the Gritty Rebels, who at times looked like THE PSG! Our defending champions best be on guard this campaign, as the rebels look as though they could rip teams to shred.

Elsewhere, Richard's Big Wangers fought off Out On Bale 2-1! The Dark Blues put in a very brave performance and look as though they are here to stay. Last season's division 1 winner's looked good as they out played Dimitri Paget Street, with a particularly strong performance coming form Jordan Tinley.

In Division 1, Drink Team failed to continue their impressive form, as they were swept aside by fellow drinking buddies Pub After FC 4-1. Pinochitoe look very dangerous. They smashed Cho Cho FC 5-1 and look a good bet for the title. Haven't Got A Solomen won the local student derby 2-0 against UKGS Wanderers. A high quality encounter from both sides which could have gone either way.

Rounding off the action in Division 2, Six Offenders played a great match against the Ballers. 3-3 on the night and well worth being named match of the day! Mr Hudson's boys really did themselves proud against strong opposition. Will this be the start of something big? In the other matches, Expected Toulouse are not losing anymore! They fought for a solid point against Paddies boys. They look a team that's starting to settle at Leisure Leagues. Lastly, East Leake Not Athletic fought hard for all 2 points against Dirty Sanchez!

Well done to last years player's of the season:

Premier League: TEDBUTT

Division 1: Connor Tinley

Division 2: David Allen

It was excellent to see all 18 teams in attendance last week, all on time with no major incidents. Great job boys!

Sadly Dimitri Paget Street have left us, but with new teams signing up all the time, their spot will be taken soon! If you know any friends that are interested in starting a new mini soccer team, please get them to join us! If you can do this then your next match is free (on us!)

See you on Sunday lads.
