Cheltenham Monday Football League Kick Starts with Exciting Matches

The much-awaited Cheltenham Monday Football League came to life yesterday with thrilling performances on the pitch. The season just started, but the intensity and competition were palpable right from the first whistle.

In the Premier League division, Sandford Boyz took an early lead in the season with a dominating 5-2 victory over Dont Look Back Elanga. The star of the match was Chiz from Sandford Boyz who netted twice, making him the current top scorer of the division. Bossman Botafogo also showcased their prowess by defeating HSC 3-1, while Steaua Cheltenham managed a nail-biting 4-3 win against Barely Athletic.

The Division 1 matches were equally exciting. The standout performance came from Real Sosobad who beat We Got The Runs with a staggering victory, thanks to Andy Campbell's impressive five-goal haul, marking him as the top scorer in Division 1. The match between Aura Milan FC and Apple Tree FC ended 3-1 in Apple Tree FC's favour, while Netbreakers CF secured a 2-1 win against Tikka Mo Salah.

The season is off to a high-octane start, and if these first matches are anything to go by, football fans are in for a treat. Keep an eye out for the next set of matches, as the teams keep vying for supremacy in the Cheltenham Monday Football League.

The league is now OFF for Bank Holiday Monday this week and will return Monday 12th May 2025. We wish all players, officials and there families a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend and will see you all when we return. Please also note that the league will be OFF for another bank holiday in May on Monday 26th May 2025 so plan accordingly.
