Play in the Cheltenham Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues
In an exhilarating week of football, the Cheltenham Monday 6-a-side league reached its seventh week, with some truly thrilling results.
Unfortunately, we did have a couple of non-attendances on the night, These teams were not present for their game and we will be in contact with both of them this week in order to confirm their returns for next Monday. It is paramount all teams are present for their fixtures in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each week, if there are any problems please be sure to contact your area manager in plenty of time.
In the Premier League division, the high-scoring games kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Craggy Island Over 75s put up a spirited effort but fell to Juve Gotte Be Joking FC with a final score of 2-5. However, the biggest upset was Barely Athletic suffering a resounding defeat at the hands of Real Sosobad. Meanwhile, Balkan Desert United secured a decisive 5-1 victory over Baggingham Boys.
Over in Division 1, Renewaballers FC dominated the pitch with a convincing victory over Aura Milan FC. In a much tighter game, Dont Look Back Elanga lost out to IDFC by a single goal.
Finally, in Division 2, HHS delivered a commanding performance against Tikka Mo Salah, winning big. Unathletico Club De Pittville also enjoyed a fruitful evening, defeating Hairy Maguires 6-2. Elsewhere, Calbarrie Compliance achieved a stunning victory over Zim Lions.
The Cheltenham Monday league has consistently delivered high-octane football filled with spectacular goals and breathtaking plays. As we move into the eighth week, each team will be looking to build on their successes and learn from their defeats.
