Chorley Monday's 5-a-side football league saw some exciting matches take place last night as teams continued their quest for glory in the second week of the season. Division 1 saw Anne Frankfurt take on Fritzl Palace in a thrilling encounter that ended with a 3-0 victory for the latter. S. Grecic was the star player for Fritzl Palace as he scored two goals to help his team secure the win. Colgate United also put on a dominant performance in their match against Pathetic Athletic, scoring five goals and conceding only once to clinch a convincing 5-1 victory.

Division 2 saw Ayew Tryna Hold Chris Wood pull off an impressive 7-1 win against Mike Oxlong FC, courtesy of a hat-trick by their top scorer Daz. Chorley Singletons and Mourinhos Men played a closely-fought match that eventually went in favour of the latter, who clinched a 3-1 victory. However, the most exciting match of the night was between Whittlers FC and Real Ale Madrid, which saw the former score an impressive 13 goals to secure a resounding 13-4 win. Daz was once again the star player for Whittlers FC as he scored an incredible seven goals to help his team secure the win.

With these results, the league tables for both divisions have started to take shape. Fritzl Palace currently sit on top of Division 1 with two wins from two matches, while Whittlers FC are leading the way in Division 2 with an impressive goal difference of +12. The league promises to be a closely-fought affair as all teams strive to secure a place at the top of their respective divisions. The next round of matches promises to be just as exciting as players battle it out on the pitch to secure a win for their teams.
