In the thrilling week 8 of Rubery Thursday 6-a-side football league, teams from all across the area battled it out on the pitch last night, aiming to secure their position in the league's final standings with only two weeks left in the season.

In the Premier League Division, Chasers81120 FC dominated the field with a 5-3 victory against Sinister Six, with Jenson Gay bagging four goals for the team, earning himself the title of 'top scorer of the week' in this division. The match was an impressive display of teamwork and individual skill, marking a significant win for Chasers81120 FC.

Not far behind, a gripping contest was witnessed between Willian Her Mouth and SakaPotatoes, resulting in a 3-3 draw.  A brilliant game to watch between the teams battling out for the runners up spot in the league

Over in Division 1, Athletico Northfield secured a hard-fought victory over Nordic FC with a 2-1 win. Goals by Bick and Molloy sealed the result for Northfield, and takes them in touching distance of 2nd place in the league.

In a thrilling match at the top of the table, a last minute goal for Delph and Safety secured a 4-3 win against title rivals Deportivo FC. A hattrick by Harrison Burely secured the points, in a game Deportivo came back from 2-0 down and but lost it at the death

However, the standout match of this division was between Pathetic Athletic and FC BomersField. Pathetic Athletic overwhelmed their opponents with a remarkable 7-0 victory. Hat-trick hero Jaythan Donalds stole the show for Pathetic Athletic and has been named the top scorer in Division 1 for the week.
