In the thrilling week 12 of the Rubery Thursday 6-a-side Football League, both Premier League and Division 1 teams made a strong statement on the field. With only two weeks left in the season, the teams are competing fiercely to secure their place for the next season.

In the Premier League division, the game between Beautiful Men and Pique Blinders ended with a nail-biting 4-4 draw. Due to teams having being taken out the league, one of these teams will be crowned champions in two weeks time

Over in Division 1, Athletico Northfield dominated their match against Misfits FC, securing a resounding 6-0 victory. The win seals promotion for the Northfield lads, after a terrific season

Nordic FC clinched the win against FC BomersField with a 3-1 scoreline, with 2 goals near the end of the game sealing the points for Nordic


Most Valuable Player - Charlie Wathes (Nordic FC)


Pathetic Athletic narrowly beat The Special Inbetweeners 3-2, thanks to their top scorer Ty, who scored a hat trick and hit the woodwork a number of times. 


Most Valuable Player - Shaun (Special Inbetweeners)


The game between Chasers81120 FC and Pipers Fc ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving both teams eagerly anticipating their upcoming matches. Pipers sit 2 points clear now of Chasers in 2nd, with two games to go the promotion race will go to the wire
