Play in the Rubery Thursday 6-a- side football league powered by Leisure Leagues

The Rubery Thursday Football League kicked off its new season yesterday with a flurry of activity, as the teams in the Premier League and Division 1 divisions battled it out on the pitch.


In the Premier League, the competition was fierce as Beautiful Men clashed with Chasers81120 FC, ending in a thrilling 4-3 victory in favor of Chasers81120 FC. A well deserved win for Chasers who looked dangerous going forward with Jake and Aidan, and solid defensively

Most Valuable Player- Jake Cowley (Chasers FC)

Not far behind, SakaPotatoes edged past Fc Boutay with a narrow 2-1 victory. An opening day win for Saka against an impressive newly promoted Boutay side

Most Valuable Player- Theo McMahon (FC Boutay)

In another closely contested match, Field FC defeated Pathetic Athletic 4-3 in an entertaining game. Last season’s Div1 winners celebrated collecting their trophy as well as 2 points

Most Valuable Player- Kelton (Field FC)

The star of the Premier League division was Jake Cowley from Chasers81120 FC, who was the top scorer of this division with an impressive haul of three goals.


Over in Division 1, there was no dearth of excitement either. Last Legs FC triumphed over Macciesonaramp with a 3-1 scoreline, while Maradona Kebabs managed to secure a 1-0 victory over Pipers FC in a defensively focused match.

In an evenly matched encounter, Absolutely Fabregas and NOT Delph And Safety played out a goalless draw

As the season has just started, it’s clear that the teams are still finding their footing and strategies are being honed. The opening week's play has certainly set the tone for an exciting season. It remains to be seen who will rise to the occasion in the coming weeks and make their mark in the Rubery Thursday Football League.
