Weekly Update 09/02 - Rubery Thursday

Great night of football at the Rubery Thursday League, with some closely fought games taking place on the night. 

Premier Division: 

The night kicked off with a top of the table clash between Six Offenders and Mr Woottons U16's. Six Offenders managed to win on the night 4-3 in an instant classic, with a brace for Flood and goals from Healey and O'Donnell sealing the win, Wiggets scored a hat-trick for Mr Woottons to bravely help the fightback. 

Reid Bayliss continued his charge for the top goalscorer as he scored the only goal as Grafters beat Legion 1-0 in the second game. 

Reigning champions SLNA Birmingham were held to a 3-3 draw against new side SakaPotatoes, who have Ryan Nash and a double from Jay Mistry to thank for the point. 

Last up, KN Massive moved into runners up spot thanks to a resounding 5-1 victory against Acca Maestros, with goals from Louis McNaughton, Gareth Griffiths and a hat-trick for O'Connell. 


Division One: 

Congratulations to Sinister Six who secured their first win of the season, against Fluky FC, thanks for a goal from Ethan Wareham! 

Athletico Northfield were top scorers across both division, as they smashed 7 past Skrag FC, with multiple braces from Lewis Johnson, Docherty and Butler, and a single from Wright. 

Top of the table SBA continued their march towards the title, with doubles for Jacob and Taylor, they have come a long way since they were the leagues basement dwellers. 

Last game of the night saw Expected Toulouse beat Hardly Athletic 2-1, thanks for goals from Daniel Hennessy and Close.
