In an exciting week of the Newton Abbot Monday 6 a side football league, teams battled it out on the field with everything to play for in the competition's Premier League division.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the high-octane clash between Who Ate All Depays and Trojans CF, that ended with a thrilling 3-3 draw. Both sides exhibited exemplary sportsmanship and skill, leaving spectators on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.
Meanwhile, in another electrifying match of the night, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly found themselves in a challenging duel with Alan Reetonit. Despite a spirited effort from The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, it was Alan Reetonit who took home the glory with a resounding 11-4 win.
A key element of Alan Reetonit's success was the remarkable performance of Brandon Hughes, who emerged as the top scorer of the Premier League division. He netted an impressive total of four goals for his team, demonstrating his prowess and cementing his status as one of the league's most formidable strikers.
However, the title of the most valued player of the week did not go to a top scorer but to a player who made a significant contribution to their team's performance. Kristian Szczepankowski of Trojans CF was awarded this honor, a testament to his outstanding skill and determination on the pitch.
As the Newton Abbot Monday league enters its seventh week, the Premier League division continues to provide an exhilarating spectacle of grassroots football. With each team eager to outdo the others and clinch the top spot, we look forward to even more thrilling matches in the weeks to come.
