As always, we saw a brilliant season start with all Teams in attendance as expected.

Last night marked the exciting beginning of the High Wycombe Wednesday 6-a-side football league. With intense matches and stunning performances, the season started with a bang in both the Premier League and Division 1.

In the Premier League, Verdansk Veterans took an impressive win against Black Magic with a clean sheet of 3-0, setting a powerful tone for their season. Farage In Charge emerged as the top scorers of the week, outplaying Totteridge Town Academy with a gripping score of 8-2. Skilly and FC Motechnics squared off in a well-matched game ending in a 2-2 draw. SERIOUS 6S and FC Ryans Cheeks also shared the points with a 1-1 tie. The closest contest was between Sons Of Pitches and Finding Timo, with the latter clinching victory by just one goal, 4-3.

Moving to Division 1, Winkers U11s started their season on a high note, defeating Beating Chastards with a 4-2 victory. Saffery Sixes also made their mark by shutting out Brexit Bruisers 3-0, while Pathetico Madrid and Curl Up And Dier saw no breakthroughs in their scoreless draw. However, it was Four Guinness’s who sat at the top of the Division 1 scoreboard for the week with a commanding 4-0 victory against Kiss My Pass.

As the season has just kicked off, teams in both divisions have shown their potent potential. The top scorers, Farage In Charge in the Premier League and Four Guinness’s in Division 1, have set high standards for the remaining games. As the season unfolds, football fans can expect more thrilling and competitive matches in the High Wycombe Wednesday 6-a-side league.
