Sunday 22nd March - Ashton Under Lyne Round-Up

A good end to the season overall in the Ashton Under Lyne Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night barring two, but we look forward to seeing both back next week.

In the Premier League, 'Going Toulouse' proved their mettle by clinching a decisive 4-1 win against 'Take This'. 'Only Here 4 The Beer' battled hard against 'Gangsters Allardyce', but ultimately lost in a closely contested match that ended 4-3. The top scorer in the Premier League was Alex, who showcased his incredible scoring ability with four goals for 'Gangsters Allardyce'. At the end of the season, 'Going Toulouse' emerged as the champions of the Premier League with an impressive total of 16 points after 7 victories.

Meanwhile, in Division 1, 'Cockwombles' showed their dominance with a thumping 9-1 victory against 'Man Shitty'. 'Still Only Here' and 'Rair Flugs' engaged in a hard-fought match, with the former eking out a narrow 3-2 win. Shaun H was the standout player in Division 1, as he fired in 5 goals for 'Cockwombles'. The Division 1 title was eventually lifted by 'Cockwombles', who topped the table with 20 points thanks to their 10 wins.

Fixtures for the new season will go live online in the coming days for the campaign which kicks off on Sunday 29th March.
