Sunday 8th February - Ashton Under Lyne Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Ashton Under Lyne Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled.

In the Premier League division, Ashton Villa demonstrated their dominance with an impressive 4-1 victory over Gangsters Allardyce. The latter team battled valiantly, but Villa's relentless attack proved to be too much. Going Toulouse also had a night to remember with an emphatic 4-0 rout against Only Here 4 The Beer. Their performance was highlighted by the terrific play of Nathan who scored a hat-trick, making him the top scorer in the Premier League division for the week.

Meanwhile, Inter Row Z outperformed Take This with a 5-2 win in a match that was brimming with energy and passion from both sides.

Over in Division 1, it was a week of nail-biting finishes and impressive performances. Cockwombles edged out a victory against Sons Of A Pitch with a 2-1 score line. Equally, intense was the match between Unathletic Bilbao and Shaw Fc which finished in a 1-1 draw, showcasing the evenly matched talent in the division.

Still Only Here managed to clinch a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Man Shitty. Division 1's top scorer of the week was Alex from Still Only Here, scoring a pivotal goal that contributed to their win.
