In an electrifying week of football, the Plymouth Monday 6-a-side league witnessed some high-octane games in its seventh week.
In the Premier League division, Pique Blinders FC and Jive Turkeys played out a thrilling 3-3 draw. Both teams put on an impressive show of grit, determination and skill on the pitch, leaving spectators and fans in awe.
Division 1 saw some intriguing matchups as well. Kia Picanto FC narrowly lost to Crouch Potato by a margin of 3-2. Whereas Lord of The Wings was defeated by For The Fish FC, who claimed a clean sheet with a score of 2-0. Saltash Unathletic and The Powder Rangers engaged in a goal filled encounter, which ended 4-3 in favor of Saltash Unathletic.
Moving on to Division 2, Friendzone FC was overwhelmed by Bazooka That Viduka, the latter securing a convincing 6-2 victory. Law Abiding Sigurdssons put up an exceptional performance against TEG United, winning 7-1.
In Division 3, Sladers Arms FC fell short against I Need A Breather United, losing 2-0. The Balotellitubbies suffered a heavy 10-1 defeat at the hands of Lees Lions. The Receding Hairlines managed to secure a clean sheet with a 3-0 victory against Trousers Down 11.
Real Sosobad and Shagwell Army were the stars of Division 4, both winning their respective matches. Real Sosobad managed a 5-0 victory against Ball Of Duty while Shagwell Army wreaked havoc on Shambles FC, winning by a staggering 19-0.
Finally, in Division 5, Boi United narrowly overcame Austin FC with a 2-1 victory, and Mr Men And Friends ended their encounter with Packer Palace in a 4-4 draw.
Unfortunately, we do not have available the names of the top scorers for each division, but undoubtedly, these matches have been a testament to the talent and competitiveness in the Plymouth Monday 6-a-side Football League.
