The Plymouth Thursday 6-a-side football league kicked off its new season last night with a breathtaking series of matches that had spectators on the edge of their seats.

In Division 1, Wet Spam United faced off against Ajax Treesdown. In a ferociously contested match, Wet Spam United emerged victorious, securing a narrow 5-4 win. Evolve FC also managed to edge out The Secret Stonks with a 4-3 win, while Jewventus delivered the most impressive performance of the night, crushing Only Put Matip In with an 8-4 drubbing.

Division 2 also witnessed some intense footballing action. Wild Boys managed to subdue GA Solicitors with a 5-2 win, while Useless FC squeezed past Dream Team with a 4-3 victory. Kurts Victims also put on an impressive display, blanking Moat-A-Boat 3-0.

Meanwhile in Division 3, Coastline offered a masterclass in attack and defence, outclassing Sports Team with a 7-0 triumph. Meavy Massive won a nail-biting contest against Collins Princesse’s with a 3-2 win, while DEPO FC unleashed their might against Cpr Football, dominating the game with a 9-1 victory.

The season is off to an incredible start, with teams displaying both their skills and their determination to take home the championship in their respective divisions. There's a long season ahead and if the opening night is anything to go by, football fans are in for a real treat!

Top scorers for each division were not disclosed at the time of writing. However, based on the results, it’s clear that teams like Jewventus, Coastline, and DEPO FC have individuals who are not shy in front of the goal.
