New Dover Monday 5 a side season kicks off!

The Dover Monday 5-a-side Football League kicked off the new season with a series of exhilarating matches in the Premier League division.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In a night of high-scoring games, we were treated to an array of football skills that left them excited for the rest of the season. Unathletico Madrid faced a tough start to the league against Ash Massive, as they suffered a 9-4 defeat. Ash Massive showed an impressive display of teamwork and precision, setting a high standard for the rest of the season.

The highest scoring game of the night was between champions Spam and Mash and Dover Unathletic with the scoreline ending at 17-3 in favour of Spam and Mash. Alex Blanch, the star player of Spam and Mash, was unstoppable as he netted an astounding 9 goals, making him the top scorer in the Premier League division for week one of the season.

The most tightly contested match of the night was between Made By Feet and Lords Of The Ings, finishing in a close 6-5 scoreline with Ings holding on for the win. Harvey Sedgwick, from Lords Of The Ings, was an undeniable force on the pitch. His excellent form and game-changing plays earned him the title of the week's Most Valued Player.

As the season has just begun, there is still all to play for. The teams will be looking to either maintain their momentum or improve upon their performance in the coming weeks.
