SOUTHEND SUNDAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE SEES COMPETITIVE ACTION IN WEEK 6

The sixth week of the Southend Sunday Football League witnessed exciting and competitive matches across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.

In the Premier League division, there was a thrilling draw between A Dad And His Boys and SHS Sevens, with the game ending 3-3. In a tightly contested match, S.I.N managed to edge out Steve's Specials, ending the game 1-0. The standout performance of the evening came from 3 Lions On Our Shirt, scoring four goals to F.C Sparkathorn's one, demonstrating their dominance in the division.

The action wasn't limited to the Premier League, as Division 1 also saw some fiercely contested matches. Notably, SHS Seconds secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Shoebury Unathletic. The Shark Island Nightmares scored a strong 2-0 victory against UNCBRINI FC. In an impressive performance, Mellow Yellows managed to clinch a 2-0 victory against MITS United.

Meanwhile, in Division 2, A Dad And His Sons managed to secure a 1-0 victory over Sparkalona. UNCBRINI FC 2 had a tight match against Southend Eagles, ending in a 2-2 draw. Another exciting game saw MITS Athletic and Shoebury Very Unathletic battling out to a 1-1 draw.

The top scorers in each division also deserve recognition; their spectacular performances ensured that fans were not disappointed. The Premier League's top scorer was the star playmaker from 3 Lions On Our Shirt, who managed to find the back of the net twice. In Division 1, Shark Island Nightmares' striker was the standout performer, scoring both goals in their match. Division 2 saw a solid performance from UNCBRINI FC 2's frontman, who scored both their goals.
