Play in the Congleton Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

It was great to welcome so many new teams as we kicked off or second division including Shut the FA Cup (pictured with their Mascot!)

In the Premier League, the spotlight was firmly on Totspur FC as they dominated Beefs Boys, delivering an impressive 5-0 victory. Bazs Super Army also managed to carve a landslide victory against ICEMEN with a score of 9-3, thanks largely to their star player, Seb, who managed to net an impressive total of 3 goals, making him the top scorer in his division. Another remarkable game in this division saw Barely Athletic triumph over FC Portoloo by a margin of 3-1. George Smith of Barely Athletic was awarded the honor of the Most Valued Player of the week for his stellar performance.

Moving on to Division 1, an intense match between Real Sosobad and Sporting Lesbian ended in a 4-2 victory for Sporting Lesbian. Competition was rife amongst Ididyer Motherwell and Shut The FA Cup, ending in a 2-2 stalemate. A similar story unfolded in the faceoff between Scam Biz United and Red Lion Rejects, which also ended in a 2-2 draw. Top scorer for Division 1 was Joe Lee of Red Lion Rejects, who managed to secure a total of 2 goals.

As the season has just started, the teams are still finding their footing and the games are becoming increasingly competitive. The spectacular performances of Seb and Joe Lee have set the bar high for the upcoming weeks.
