Silverware for Brian Munich and Waunkers

It was trophy night at a heaving Elba stadium last night as Brian Munich and Waunkers took the glory in their respective leagues.

Jon Taylor's Bavaria boys ended the premier league season with a magnificent record of just one defeat in 18 to deservedly take the crown of champions of the Elba Wednesday premier league. Life's a Pitch took the runners up spot this season, with Smack in 3rd and latecomers 657 in 4th spot. Great performances towards the end of the season from Stroke Titty and Moleicester saw both teams avoiding the drop to Division One for next season. Well played lads. The premier league waves goodbye to MOC and old favourites Inta / Gower Mafia who will hopefully be back with us for the summer league. Good luck lads.

Waunkers FC finally took the big pot in Divsion One last night with a fine 3 -1 win over a spirited Average Joes outfit. Daniel Evans's lads resplendent in their new white with a flash of green kits finished the season with a fantastic record of just one defeat in 18 games to rightly take their place in the premier league from next week. Village Idiots join Waunkers in the premier league next season after a fine 6 -1 win last night and a storming end to the season. Shane Long ended up in 3rd place, well done to Tom, Sam and the lads. Going Toulouse were fourth, well played Lloyd and the boys. Well played also to Bash Street, Tea and Busquets, Admiral Outbound, Goldtops, Average Joes and the Ninjas, who all return for next season.

A big thanks to Louise, Tom, Andrew Biston, Paul Coode and Jack Glas who have helped me to put on another successful season on Wednesdays at the Elba. We look forward to seeing you all on weds Dec 21st for the start of the new winter 2017 season.
