In the latest week of the Exeter Monday 6-a-side Football league, teams across four divisions battled it out on the field, leading to thrilling victories and unexpected upsets.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, 6 Bricks emerged victorious over the Goal Goal Power Rangers with a dominating score of 12-3. The star of the match was Ryan, who single-handedly scored half of his team's goals. In the same division, Thirsty Beaver FC were edged out by HEAV CRESS in a close match ending 6-4. Once again, in a high scoring encounter, TGFC bested The Boys 11-7.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, FC Diddlers outplayed Spoono Fernandes, winning 5-1. Meanwhile, Exeter Gently FC and Pathetic Athletic faced off in a match that ended in a nil-nil draw. The biggest upset of the division came when Albanian Rozzers thrashed Sands United FC Exeter 4-0, thanks to a stellar performance by top scorer Josh Quessou.
DIVISION TWO
Division 2 saw a close match between Boss Copters and Chubby Alonso's, with the former clinching the win with a 3-2 scoreline. The match between We Argue FC and SNLB FC resulted in a 3-0 victory for We Argue FC. The highest scoring game in this division was between Six Offenders and Kaya Kc Cuts, with the latter winning 7-4.
DIVISION THREE
In Division 3, AFC Class On Grass were narrowly defeated by Barely Athletic 2-1. Meanwhile, The Badgers FC outclassed Milltop Motor Boaters, claiming a decisive 6-1 victory. AC MyNan impressed with a crushing 11-1 victory over Inter Mevan, thanks to an outstanding performance by Lucas Clow who scored four goals.
Overall, the standout player of the week was Alex Bond from HEAV CRESS, who earned the title of the league's Most Valued Player. His performance played a significant role in his team's victory, making him a player to watch in the coming weeks.
