A fantastic start to the West Bromwich Monday League Cup in the West Bromwich Monday League. 

It was great to welcome 'Anonymous' and 'MET FC' for the first time as they are making a guest appearance from different leagues around the area. They all started well and with one week to go until the finale have put themselves in a good position to push to be champions. Good luck to all new teams and all teams moving forward!

Game of the night this week goes to the game between 'Anonymous' and 'Way Past It FC'. All matches were brilliant and with all games being of a good quality it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. This game just pipped it as even though it was a low scoring affair with 'Anonymous' running out 1-0 winners it was very intense and played at a great tempo throughout. As all games were played at a high level it will be interesting to see how the cup plays out.

Team of the week are 'MET FC' as they are top after week one. Two big wins to start the cup shows there intent when it comes to the Cup and will be looking to build on this next week. Are they the team to beat?
