Exeter move clear in Gerard Buxton six a side

Despite gale force winds it was another excellent night of football on Monday in the Leisure Leagues Royal Wootton Bassett six a side from The Gerard Buxton Sports Ground. There was excellent football played across the six matches. However, some shock upsets as Gangsters Allardyce and Who Ate All Depays were defeated allowing Exeter to take a slim advantage after the first third of the season.

Athletic Bilbao Baggins won against Alexandre LakofKet in the opening game to make amends for their loss the week before. New team Pique Blinders staked their claim to be a major contender in the league by beating Depays 3-0 on what was an off night for the veterans in orange. The game of the night saw Norfolk narrowly defeat Gangsters in a titanic battle between two excellent teams. Exeter beat the enigmatic Unplayable’s in another excellent football match. Exeter owed the win to their keeper Ben who made a string of excellent saves. In the final game of the night the leagues two bottom teams went head to head. It was another excellent game and The Underdogs eventually came out on top in a narrow 2–1 win.
