Gerard Buxton league delivers great night of six a side.

Another great night was characterised by some incredibly close matches that could have gone either way for large portions of the game. They were also hard fought and teams can be proud of the effort they put in leaving it all on the line in order to secure the points for their team.

It kicked off with Sloblins taking on the highly rated 2 Goals 1 Cup. 2 Goals managed to do their goal difference no harm by putting 7 past Sloblins with a hat trick from Callum Flay who was the stand out performer. However, 2 Goals took plenty of liberties at the back and Sloblins Captain Harry Walduck had plenty of chances and might be frustrated not to do better with some of them.

Game 2 was an intense game between two teams with plenty of energy but completed contrasting in terms of their approach to the game. Expected Toulouse looked to their individual talent to help win the day with siblings Jack and Hollie Timbrell dictating much of the play from midfield. Bass Rugby in contrast, played as a solid unit and looked to use their work effort to hit Expected on the counter. Star strike Zack Stretch continuing is impressive scoring run to help Bass take all the points from the game of the night.

Game 3 was another frustrating night for Gangsters Allardyce. Despite having the lions share of possession they were unable to find a way past Wirral's goal keeping super hero Robbie Stubbs. He bravely through himself at everything Gangster's put his way and was well worth his man of the match performance, this despite aggravating a nasty knee injury last in the game. Wirral will hope this was just a tweak and that he will be back next week. Their injury list is already dangerously high.

The final game saw Silence of the Lahms take on Hardley Athletic. Despite winning every game so far this season Silence have not always played their best football and have relied on the skill of captain George Staten to keep tallying up the points. Tonight they delivered a much more comprehensive team performance and striker Dan Carey was impressive in front of goal, calmly finishing twice to put the game beyond Hardley who fought valiantly until the end but were unable to create much in front of goal.

This all leaves Silence of the Lahms at the top of the league with a slight cushion over the chasing pack. Can anyone catch them?
