Grimsby Monday 6-a-side: Calling time on a great season!

A terrific season of the Grimsby Monday 6-a-side league drew to a close this week. Let’s take a look at what went down and who the winners were. 

Jimmy Sevilla took the crown in the Premier League, ending their run with a 7-3 win against Azzy’s Big Ballers. Gangsters Allardyce finished second with a 4-1 win over West Marsh Utd on the final day, sending the latter hurtling down into Div 1. Michu at De Gea Ba pulled off a great escape, as their 3-1 win over the already relegated Rameco saw them climb out of the bottom two at the death. 

In Division 1, Red Bull Grimsby ran away with the title, finishing first with a four-point lead.

Forrester Boyd confirmed second place and promotion despite their final day 1-1 draw against Tesco FC. The Wednesday came in third with a stylish 6-1 win over Clee Old Boys to cap off the season. The latter and Juan on Juan had campaigns to forget.
