Grimsby Thursday 6-a-side: Brand New Campaign Begins!

The Grimsby Institute welcomed back teams from the Thursday 6-a-side league this week, as we kicked off a brand new exciting campaign, promising to have lots of fun footballing action on display. 

In the Premier League, Kinky Konate got their campaign started with a nice 2-0 win over Murder on Zidane's Floor, while Grange and Stroke Titty clashed in a thrilling opener, as Grange claimed a solid 5-2 win. 

Kroos Control Athletic and Rosa Parks the Bus locked horns in a tense clash where neither could break the deadlock, as the game ended 0-0. Rolls Reus received a points match walkover due to a vacant spot in the league, which situated them atop the table to start. 

In Division 1, Tesco McNeil Deal and Exeter Gently both received walkovers, before Lads on Toure turned in a classy display against Wolfpack FC, that saw them run away 5-1 winners. Rounding off the week's action, Venom FC beat Crusaders 3-1 to get a great start to their season.
