Grimsby Tuesday 6-a-side: A new season begins!
The Grimsby Tuesday 6-a-side league kicked off a new season of football this week, and boy was it in style.
The Premier League fixtures kicked off with Johnings Jennings beating Only Put Matip in 4-2. Newly-promoted Egg Fried Reus turned on the style and won 5-1 against FC Darabani to kick off life in the top flight in perfect fashion. Reigning champs Romasexuals carried on their form from last season, beating Pilly Willy 6-2.
Division 1 saw Real Vets start off their campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win, as Candybum cruised to a 5-0 win over Released on Bale.
In Division 2, Stoke Titty kicked things off with a 5-0 win, while Expected Toulouse came through a tough battle against Pepper Shniffers for a 2-1 win. Swoxi FC beat Brexit Ballers 1-0 in another closely-fought contest.
