Halstead Monday Football League: Week 12 Roundup
Halstead Monday, a six-a-side football league, continued with its twelfth week of the season. The league, divided into three divisions: Premier League, Division 1 and Division 2, saw a vibrant set of matches with teams battling it out for top honours.
In the Premier League, CESC PISTOLS outshone Del Boys with a convincing 4-1 victory, while Lisp United narrowly bested Savs Soldiers 3-2. The most thrilling encounter was the 6-1 demolition of Law Abiding Sigurdssons by Popped United. The final match in this division saw Rodney Rovers narrowly losing 3-2 to Barnards U15s.
Moving onto Division 1, Net Busters edged COYS 2-1 and KFC emerged victorious in a closely fought match against Pathetico Madrid, finishing 4-3. Pinger Patrol made light work of BREXIT FC with a 5-0 win, and Notting Yourmumsforrest secured a 3-0 win over Sible Service.
In Division 2, Jensons Under Fives and Egg Fried Declan Rice secured 3-2 victories over Balls Deep and Murder On Zidanes Floor respectively. Only Curls And Horses and De Jong Boys shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw. But, the show-stealer was the Barbaras Boys who trounced The Goal Threats 6-0.
There are only two weeks left of this exciting season, and all teams are urged to secure their place for the next season. The top scorers for each division remain a closely guarded secret, fueling the anticipation and competitive spirit for the remaining matches.
