Northwich Monday Football League Kicks Off with Exciting Week 1 Matches

The Northwich Monday Football League commenced its highly anticipated season with an action-packed Week 1 featuring thrilling matches in the Premier League division. The league, consisting of 6-a-side football teams, witnessed some exhilarating showdowns as the teams battled it out on the pitch for glory.

In the Premier League division, four teams showcased their skills, determination, and teamwork, setting the tone for an exciting season ahead. The teams that competed included Parsolona, 2 Girls 1 Schlupp, San Marino, and No Chance FC.

Parsolona made an impressive start to their campaign, dominating their opponents 2 Girls 1 Schlupp with a commanding 6-0 victory. Displaying exceptional attacking prowess, Parsolona demonstrated their clinical finishing, leaving no room for their opponents to stage a comeback.

Another thrilling encounter took place between San Marino and No Chance FC. Both teams showcased their determination, battling it out fiercely on the pitch. In a nail-biting clash, No Chance FC emerged victorious with a narrow 3-2 win, demonstrating their resilience and ability to convert key opportunities.

In the final Premier League match of the week, Squad FC clashed with Busters Mafia in a high-scoring thriller. With both teams showcasing their attacking prowess, it was Squad FC who ultimately secured the victory with a hard-fought 5-3 triumph.

Additionally, individual brilliance was also on display as the top scorer of the Premier League division emerged. Ollie Platt of Squad FC stole the limelight with an impressive haul of four goals, showcasing his clinical finishing and ability to make an impact for his team.

Just to ensure everyone is aware, the league will be off next Monday the 28th of August due to the bank holiday and will resume on the 4th of September. We hope everyone is rested and recovery ready to restart on the 4th!
