WARREN CHAMPIONS of Havant 6 a side

Congratulations to Warren Wanderers who become the 1st ever champions of Leisure Leagues in Havant following a great campaign which saw them win seven of their 9 matches, hitting the back of the net 47 times in the process.

It has been a fascinating season, interrupted twice by lockdowns but maintaining a high standard of football throughout and the consistency shown by Warren Wanderers makes them worthy champions.
On the final night of the season there were hattricks for Stevens and Jackson in a great display that left MK Dongs with little to celebrate aside a hatrick for their own Silvester. It finished 9 - 3 to Warren Wanderers who we hear are still celebrating and have an open bus tour planned for the weekend. Congratulations to them.
Elsewhere in the division, Cardiac Arrest registered a 5 - 0 win as Bombs were unable to get a side together, huge thanks to newly registered team Rapid Decline for stepping in and giving the title chasers a game, it was a bit of a baptism of fire as they went down 8 - 0 but their keeper made an early name for himself with a sharp save from the spot on his debut. We look forward to seeing more of Rapid Decline next season and fully expect Cardiac Arrest to push Warren Wanderers all the way again.
Puff Puff Pass finished 3rd despite slipping up against Wilfred Bony's Boys in what was a great match that flowed one way and then the other, WBBoys thankful to Chapman who bagged a hatrick to lift them to 5th, behind Barely Legal on goal difference alone. Barely Legal's goal differnce took a hit as they dropped to 4th following a shock defeat to bottom side Don't Go Nowhere. The goals were shared around for DGN who looked a far better side than their league position reflects, they will be looking to really establish themselves as a team to reckon with next season.
Another slightly unexpected win came from PFR who have struggled since the return from lockdown but a confidence boosting win to end the season will give them great hope going into the new campaign. Singh, Tout and Britton each scored a brace and veteran Captain David Hunter was in fine form between the sticks to help them secure a much needed 6 - 1 win against Unais Frauds who still finished just above them on 6 points.
In Division 1 we missed seeing Chicken Tikka Mo Salad but LP Hit squad were able to turn out twice, and picked up two wins without conceding on the night. Firstly their own league game against Balotelitubbies where they were dominant from the start to win 4- 0 , Kai Gateshill scoring two and then in a friendly game against BrownieBoys where they showed some great football to win 5 - 0.
Also on show again were Men Utd and West Lee Mack where Men Utd showed their class in a fast paced game, coming out on top 5 - 2 but both sides look like they will have plenty to offer this league over the coming months.

So thats it, the 1st ever Havant Leisure Leagues season complete, we roll straight into the new season next Monday and with 18 teams currently signed up we plan to switch to 3 divisions of 6 teams, this may change if we get more sign up so as always anyone interested in starting a team can get in touch with me on 07967372473 or follow this link to register

I will be in touch later this week with confirmed divisions for everyone, this will be partly based on final league positions but also on the feedback from the refs as we attempt to place everyone in a division where they will get good competitive games every week.
Have a great week and congratulations again to Warren Wanderers
Cheers
Rob
