Westy Utd top Div 2 at Havant Monday 6 a side

It was another full turn out at our Havant & Waterlooville Football Club Monday night 6 a side league. Summer is always a tricky time of year with people on holiday etc so it's fantastic to see the commitment of all 24 teams to get sides together, much appreciated. We'd also like to welcome The Fox to the league who played their first game last night.

We start our results round up in the Premier League where Don't Go Nowhere entertained new boys The Fox, the fixture computer couldn't of dealt them a more difficult first match and it proved that way as Nowhere won 13-1 with goals from Legg 5, Evans 4, Mcandrew 3 and Mundy. Jay Chandler with The Fox's goal. LP Hitsquad stay level on points with the leaders as they defeated Bilbao Baggins 4-1 which included a hat-trick from Jack Smith and a strike from Sam Fraser. Garrett registering for Baggins. Cardiac Arrest continued their resurgence as they narrowly beat Barely Legal 2-1 with goals from Regan and Ngimibi, Mullins with Legal's effort. A Dan Langley goal wasn't enough for Wilfred Bony's Boys as they went down 4-1 to a Puff Puff Pass side only scrapped together at the last minute.

West Lee Mack had their lead at the top of Div 1 cut as they were involved in an epic match with Rapid Decline which saw 4th place Decline win it 5-4. Hayes and Williams both scoring braces for Decline to add to Compton's goal while Burfort 2, Teal and Spanner scored for the table toppers. LPU took full advantage of the slip by Lee Mack as they went level on points with them as Fordham smashed in 5 goals along with others from Curtis, Morgan and Biles as they beat Rovers 8-3. Rovers goals coming from Ward 2 and Farrugia. MK Dongs are in third and haven't given up hope of catch the top two as they impressed with a 7-1 win over Bombs. Essen 3, Wareham 2, Kirk and Cornish finding the back of the net for the home team, Drew with Bombs goals. Jack Heselwood fired Tangastic to victory as hit scored 5 of their 6 goals as they beat Meat FC 6-3, Bellinger with the other. Meat had captain Gargaro, Moore and Fry to thank for their goals.

We have new leaders in Div 2 as West Utd rose to the summit with a 4-1 win over Willian Your Mouth. Regan 2, Christy and Cole put their names on the scoresheet as this win coupled with RM Crossfit losing saw Westy go top. RM Crossfit's defeat came at the hands of Goal Diggers as they showed their promotion credentials with a 4-2 win that puts them two point off second. Toby Appleby scored twice while Tommy Appleby and Bobby Fisher also scored for Goal Diggers. Turner and Bakeer for Crossfit. To round up the other results in Div 2 there was a 3-1 win for Swan FC against Steaua Portsmouth and Unais Frauds played well as they defeated Kye Rovers Res 4-1. Turner scored Rovers goal but strikes from O.Grounds 2, L.Grounds and Allen were enough to seal the win for Frauds.

Thank you to all our teams once again. Also a big thank you to Mike, Tom and Blair for reffing and Matt for helping out. Disappointingly we did have a red card in one of the matches for foul and abusive language towards a match official, the player in question has received a ban and fine. Please remember whatever you think of a decision to respect it and the referee, it's a hard job at the best of times. Many thanks Rich
