HAVANT 6 A SIDE FOOTBALL

We returned to Monday night action in Havant last night after a Bank Holiday enforced two week break and all our teams were delighted to get their boots back on and resume our season of 6 a side with week 2 of the campaign. Everyone was there ready to go and there were some great matches, all overseen by Mike and his team of refs. Here's a quick look back at what took place at Westleigh Park last night.

PREMIER LEAGUE

It's been a strange start to the season with champions Cardiac Arrest sat bottom after two weeks. Their 2nd defeat on the bounce came at the hands of A.W who put in a brilliant performance to win 8 - 1 and go top themselves. Westy got their 1st win with a solid 6 - 3 result against Don't Go Nowhere and Puff Puff Pass maintained their strong start with a 2nd win, getting past OAP's 4 - 1

DIVISION ONE

Newly promoted Top G's continue their great form with a 2nd win to kick off their season. The 4 - 2 result against Smashers making them the only side in the division to have won both their opening games and they look a good prospect for a double promotion. Westleigh remain 2nd despite going down 4 - 3 to Rapid Decline while Meat FC and Rovers both opened their accounts with a competitive 1 - 1 draw

DIVISION TWO

The top two had to both work hard for their points this week with Tekkerslovakia edging past Leigh Park 5 - 4 and Giroud Sandstorm needing to score 4 against AFC Mole Hill to secure the win 4 - 3 that keeps them as the early league leaders. HUFC 6s bounced back from a poor start last week to beat Kye Rovers 6 - 3 to round off a high scoring week in Division Two

DIVISION THREE

Dyslexia continued their strong start to the season with a brilliant 7 - 0 win over Barely Athletic, Misfits also won, getting past WLR Utd 4 - 1 while WhatDivock had a great night to register their 1st points of the season with a 6 - 2 win over Bunderland. So Dyslexia and Misfits are ahead on 4 points but it's very early days obviously and it looks like being a good season in Division Three again.

Well done to everyone involved this week, so good to be back and its a massive thanks to Mike, Jack, Nathan and Mark for their efforts on the night.

Good luck to all our teams for next Mondays week 3 games.
