HAVANT 6 A SIDE - WESTLEIGH PARK

The buzz of excitement around football at the moment has certainly rubbed off on our 6 a side teams in Havant as they all gathered last night for round four of our season at Westleigh Park.

In the Prem Westy United moved top after a convincing 9 - 3 win over Hanover 96, they go ahead of Cardiac Arrest on goal difference who won 7 - 4 against OAPs. Sam Houlihan scored four and Jonsun Smart 3 for Westy while James Crane was on target with a hat trick for Cardiac Arrest. Last seasons runners up Puff Puff Pass got a good 3 - 2 win over Six Bells Vets thanks to goals from Tom Newman, Jamie Hounslow and John Darwin.

There was an important win for Smashes in Div One as they remain two points clear of the pack. They won 7 - 1 against Meat FC who drop to fourth. Luke Payne netted 4 and James Snook 3 for the leaders. Kye Rovers remain second, two points back after a 6 - 1 win against Bottle Jobs. Jordan Evans on target with 4 for the Rovers. Rapid Decline remained third after a 2 - 0  win over RCFC, Ryan Compton and Frankie Williams with the goals.

We welcomed a new team to Division 2 this week with Keith FC making their debut up against a determined Hurricanes side who came away with a 7 - 0  win, Nick Coles scoring 2 and Paul's Scrivens also on target with a brace for the Hurricanes. Bub Bub FC made up ground on the leaders with a two one win over AFC Mill Hill, Curtis Squire and Jamie Langley on target for Bub Bub while leaders PCS vets continued on their merry way that's four wins from four now for them as Cain Homes scored the only goal of the game against WRL United to get them a 1 - 0  win.

We have 3 teams locked on 6 points in Division Three now with Peter File still top despite a 4 - 0 defeat to Tekkerslovakia last night. Blake Osbourne on target twice to move Tekkers up to 3rd in the table. Westleigh Rovers picked up an important 2 points for them with a 4 - 1 win over WhatDivock as Gary Davies bagged a couple to keep his team in the promotion hunt. Willian took a 5 - 0 win from their game with WeCock Whippets who withdrew very late on which is always frustrating. Hopefully just a blip from them and we will be back to full strength next Monday.

Big thanks to everyone for being there this week, especially to Mike and the team of refs who had some juggling to do at the last minute with Mark and Jack unavailable at short notice.

Hopefully we will rock up for week 5 with England safely through to the semi finals of the world cup but what ever happens we will be ready for our next round of games in this brilliant season of 6 a side.

Have a great week guys.
