Havant Monday Football League Thrills Fans in Final Week of the Season

The Havant Monday Football League concluded its thrilling 6-a-side season with a spectacular showcase of talent and competition last night. Players and their families filled the stands on a beautiful evening at Westleigh Park, eagerly anticipating the results of the final matches in the Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3.

In the Premier League, AW.FC emerged victorious, confirming top spot with an impressive total of 20 points and 10 wins to take home the Premier League Title. Their hard-fought battle against Westy United ended with a scoreline of 3-2 in favour of the new champions. The match showcased the skills and determination of both teams, with the result being a testament to their competitiveness. In the other top flight matches there were good wins for OAP's who will take some confidence into their Division One campaign next week and Cardiac Arrest who found some late season form to get the better of Puff Puff Pass who themselves have had a brilliant season to finish runners up.

Daniel Hargreaves grabs to golden boot in the top flight with his 14 goals proving decisive in AW FC's title win.

Meanwhile, in Division 1, Smashers took home the crown, securing 15 points and 7 wins. They displayed great teamwork and precision on the field, defeating Rapid Decline 4-1 in their final match. Westleigh Rovers will join the champions in the premier league next season, their excellent campaign wrapping up with a good 4 - 2 win over Rovers who take the plunge to Diviosion Two. They go down alongside Pathetico Athletico who showed great fight to the end of the season and grabbed a point from their final game with TopG's who finish 3rd.

Top scorer in Division One goes to Gary Davies of Westleigh Rovers, will he be able to repeat his scoring success against the best defences in the league ? Time will tell but his 20 strikes this season have made the difference for Westleigh in their title winning side so well played to him for a great season in front of goal.

In Division 2, Tekkerslovakia emerged as the champions, accumulating an impressive 16 points and 7 wins. Their well-deserved victory was highlighted by their 2-0 triumph over AFC Mole Hill who hang onto 2nd place and secure promotion despite the defeat. Meat FC sign off with a win over Giroud Sandstorm. It was 7-4 last night but the teams will do battle again soon as both make the move to Division 3 where they will both have eyes on some silverware and an instant return to this division. Leigh Park did all they could to grab promotion on the final night but goal difference keeps them in the division next season, their 5-3 win over Kye Rovers proving that they will be the team to beat when we kick off again next week.

Kye Rovers had something to celebrate at least as regular goal machine Jordan Evans picked up another golden boot trophy for his collection. His 17 goals accounting for nearly half of his teams tally and proving what a key player he is for Kye Rovers, if he remains fit you have to fancy them for a promotion place next season.

Lastly, in Division 3, Misfits reigned supreme, ending the season with an outstanding 18 points and 9 wins. Their emphatic 7-0 victory over Bunderland A demonstrated their dominance on the field as they pick up the Division Three title and move up to a fresh challenge next week. Also heading up are WLR Utd whos 1-0 win over Barely Athletic was enough to take 2nd place. Dyslexia in 3rd rounded off their season with a brilliant 5-4 win over WhatDivock

As well as the league title, Misfits striker Simon Batey collects the Golden Boot for his outstanding contribution of 21 goals and it will be exciting to see if he can keep up that form in the higher division.

So well played to all our teams and especially those who have won titles. A.W FC captain Morgan Moret wins the league MVP award this season for his 4 MotM awards so it's double celebration for him and his team. Huge thanks as always to our officials Mike, Jack, Mark and Nathan who have all been superb again this season, we are so lucky to have them all.

The Havant Monday Football League has once again showcased the talent and passion of these local football teams. Congratulations to AW.FC, Smashers, Tekkerslovakia, and Misfits for emerging as the champions of their respective divisions. We eagerly await the next season of this extraordinary league, the fixtures for which will be out very soon.
