Havant Monday Football League Kicks Off with Exciting Matches

The Havant Monday 6 a side Football League, powered by Leisure Leagues, launched its latest action-packed season with a thrilling night of matches across all its divisions last night. Throughout the evening, our champions from each division last season received their trophies and medals as did the league top goal scorers and Most Valuable Player. 

We all look forward to another incredible season in Havant and we got things underway with some excellent match ups in week one. 

In the Premier League division, AW.FC demonstrated their dominance with an impressive 9 - 2 victory over Westy United. Morgan Moret shone brightly for AW.FC, securing a hat-trick and becoming the top scorer of the division for the week. Smashers and Cardiac Arrest ended in a fiercely contested 1 - 1 draw, while Puff Puff Pass defeated OAPs FC with a convincing 4 - 1 score line.

Division 1 witnessed some nail-biting encounters as AFC Mole Hill emerged victorious with a 4 - 1 win against Westleigh Rovers. Iain Higgins showcased his attacking prowess for AFC Mole Hill, bagging a hat-trick and earning the top scorer title for the division. TopGs managed to edge out Empire FC in a thrilling 5 - 3 encounter, while Tekkerslovakia and Rapid Decline settled for a hard-fought 2 - 2 draw.

In Division 2, Misfits left spectators in awe with an emphatic 8 - 0 triumph against Pathetico Athletico. Simon Batey was in scintillating form for Misfits, netting three goals and securing the top scorer accolade. WLR United and Kye Rovers shared the spoils with a 2 - 2 draw, while Rovers FC defeated Leigh Park United 3 - 1.

Division 3 witnessed an exhilarating clash between Meat FC and Bunderland A, with the former emerging victorious with a convincing 5 - 1 score line. Giroud Sandstorm displayed their attacking prowess, securing a 5 - 2 win against Dyslexia FC. Sam Clarke emerged as the star of the division, scoring four goals for Giroud Sandstorm and claiming the top scorer title this week.

Adding to the excitement, the league's most valued player for the week was Toby Appleby from TopGs. Appleby displayed exceptional skills and contributed significantly to his team's success.
