Havant Monday 6 a side news | WEEK 1

In the thrilling kick-off of the Havant Monday Football League, teams from Division 1 and Division 2 took to the field to push their limits in the season opener. With fans eagerly awaiting the start of the season, the opening night did not disappoint showcasing exceptional talent and tantalising games.

DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the season started with Saka Spuds overpowering AFC Squids with a clean slate of 4 - 0. Clem Fandangoal FC secured victory over Portsbridge with a 2 - 0 win. However, the highlight of Division 1's matches was undoubtedly the spectacular performance by Misfits, who outdid Inter YaNan with a 7 - 1 win. The highest-scoring game was a nail-biter between Man Tity and Leigh Park United with the latter taking the win at 5 - 3. Shane Marshall from Leigh Park United emerged as Division 1's top scorer, netting 3 goals for his team.

DIVISION TWO
Meanwhile, the action in Division 2 was equally engrossing. Batey Boys launched a crushing assault on Puyol Pants Down with an astonishing 11 - 1 victory. Wafty Wanders FC and Rag Ass Rovers both edged out their competitors with identical 3 - 2 victories over Dip Dip and GRRMONDAYS FC respectively. Pukka FC and Poole Party FC also claimed first-week victories, with Pukka FC narrowly beating Havant A Clue by 4 - 3 and Poole Party FC securing a 3 - 1 win over Netsix And Chill. Raff Hawkins from Pukka FC was the top scorer in Division 2, also with a total of 3 goals.

Adding to the glory of the week was Poole Party FC's Boyd Mason-white, who was named the most valued player of the week. Boyd's performance was instrumental in securing their team's victory and setting the tone for the season.
