In a thrilling start to the new season, Havant Monday Football League showcased a diverse range of talent in its first week of matches. The teams from Divisions 1, 2 and 3 hit the ground running, demonstrating their respective skills and strategies.
DIVISION ONE
In the Division 1 match-ups, El Pork Pies emerged victorious in a nail-biting clash with Leigh Park United, triumphing 6-4. The star of the match was undoubtedly Liam Brewer, who sealed the deal for his team with an impressive hat-trick, establishing himself as the top scorer in Division 1.
DIVISION TWO
Meanwhile, in Division 2, Borussia Teeth proved their mettle by thrashing Manor FC 5-1. Cameron Tomkins was the shining star for the team, scoring three goals and thereby claiming the top scorer spot for his division.
DIVISION THREE
Division 3 also saw a flurry of interesting match-ups. AFC Squids dominated their game against AFC Mole Hill, scoring a robust 6-1 victory. The most valued player of the week was awarded to Thomas Long from AFC Squids for his exceptional performance. However, it was Sam Gisby from Man Tity who stole the show with his remarkable hat-trick, thereby becoming the top scorer for Division 3.
