Havant Monday 6 a side - WEEK 4 ROUND UP

In the exciting world of 6 a side football the Havant Monday league stands up tall as one of the finest examples of local players getting regular, competitive football week in week out.

The latest season reached week 4 last night and our players didn't disappoint as they went to battle looking to secure valuable points for their respective teams. All 3 divisions delivered incredible games with the standard of football continuing to impress all that were lucky enough to be there.

In Division One we saw Rapid Decline edge past Top G's in a close match that ended 7 - 6 to kick start their point scoring for the season. Frankie Williams showed his goal scoring prowess with 4 well taken goals for Rapid Decline while Owen Bogan and Kye Bramble both netted hat-tricks. Westy maintained their strong start with a 4 - 1 win over Smashers while Misfits and Rovers played out an entertaining 3 - 3 draw.

Division Two also served up some classic encounters, leaders Westleigh Rovers won a tight game with Out of Shape 2 - 1 while a Mikey Davis hat-trick secured a tidy 5 - 0 win for Leigh Park over Whatdivock. Guilty Sigurdsson had a hat-trick from Liam Brewer to thank for their 6 - 2 win over Flamingo while the goals were shared around for Giroud Sandstorm who claimed an important 2 points from their game with AFC Mole Hill, edging the win 4 - 3 in what was a brilliant game for the naturals.

Over in Division Two, leaders Pathetico Athletico maintained their 100% record with a 4 - 2 win over AFC Pole Patrol while Meat FC were too strong for Sheffield Monday thanks to 2 good strikes from Dan Langley, 4 - 1 the score here as Meat FC keep tabs on the promotion places. Kye Rovers sit 2nd following their solid 4 - 1 win over Barely Athletic while Bunderland shared the spoils for the 2nd week running. Another entertaining game saw them take a point with a 1 - 1 draw against Pathetico Athletico 2nds to wrap up this weeks scores.

So another exciting night of action ticked off in Havant and the league continues to offer a brilliant platform for our players to show off their talents. As always it's a huge thank you to the team captains for organising their sides and of course to our officials for managing match night for us.

The anticipation is already rising ahead of week 5 next Monday and we cant wait to see how our teams fair, there will no doubt be more memorable games played and some brilliant goals scored. Who will be top of the tables in Havant after week 5 ? Only time will tell...
