Despite some walkovers in the top two divisions, the Boston Monday 6-a-side league still produced some terrific football at the Haven High Academy this week, with the teams from the lower divisions especially stepping up. Here are the highlights of the week’s action. 

In the Premier League, the only official game played this round saw Boom Xhakalaka turn up the style to claim a 6-3 win over FCHasbik, as the former climbed up to third place. 

Division 1 also had just the one game as ClassonGrass picked up a 3-2 win against Haven’t Jota Kulu. 

Division 2 is where the games really picked up. As Gerry Glory beat Canastew Crew 4-1, Sands United Boston ran riot against Just a Joke, winning 10-2. And The Gingerbread Men followed it up with another superb performance, as they beat the Torettos 8-3.

Another tier below in Division 3, BTown Ballers and Average Joes locked horns in a tight contest, which ended in a 3-3 draw. Diaspora Boston maintained their solid form by beating Boys Venga 4-1, as Giroud Sandstorm rolled on atop the table with a 5-2 victory over TMA Tekkers.
