Exeter Sunday 5 a side news - match day 2

The Exeter Sunday Football League is in full swing, with Week 2 of the season delivering a thrilling series of matches in both the Premier League and Division 1. We were treated to an action-packed series of games under the floodlights.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the top-tier Premier League, the most exciting encounter took place between Whipton BBQ Kebab House CF and Tig Bitty Goth Girls ending in a high-scoring draw of 6-6. Elsewhere in the Premier League, Scorinbread United had a convincing victory over Steau Needarest with a final score of 6-1 while Robbenyourkids FC and Smeg United also shared the spoils in a 5-5 draw. Looks like we are in for an exciting season with no 100% records in tact in the Prem after just two games.

The star of the Premier League this week was Fin Hobday of Tig Bitty Goth Girls, who managed to net four goals, making him the top scorer this week.

DIVISION ONE

Moving to Division 1, it was an even more goal-laden affair although the games were more one sided. Dusty Ballers achieved an impressive 10-2 victory over IDIDYAMOTHERWELL, while Stella Fellas FC defeated VorX United 20-1. Roddys Roundup's had a spectacular 15-1 win over Bikini Bottom Boys to complete our round up!

Setting Division 1 alight was Rodrigo Kelly from Roddys Roundup. Scoring an impressive six goals in one match, Kelly rightfully earned his place as the top scorer in Division 1. His outstanding performance also earned him the title of the Most Valued Player for the week, marking his performance as one of the standout highlights of Week 2 of the Exeter Sunday Football League.

As the Exeter Sunday Football League enters Week 3, we eagerly await the next round of thrilling matches and standout performances.

A big thank you to Neil for running the evening and to all of our players, good luck next week!
